VIRGO SEASON: AUGUST 23 - SEPTEMBER 22
It’s not always easy for you to relax Aries, and that’s especially true right now. Because there’s a Mercury Retrograde to contend with during a season ruled by Mercury…your daily life might feel a bit haphazard. When Venus enters Virgo on September 5th, though, you’re gifted with some extra sweetness at work. You may make a new friend that becomes integral to your routine, or discover some other way to make the daily grind more enjoyable. While you’ll be busy prioritizing your health and wellness this Virgo season, remember to give yourself wiggle room, too.
A secret amongst creatives is that it actually takes routine planning to bring ideas to fruition, and you likely understand that sentiment. Rather than assuming you can spontaneously access your creativity, you know you must be intentional…and the New Moon in Virgo on August 27th is a perfect opportunity. Address your relationship with your inner child by literally addressing them a letter, or a painting, or some other form of automatic expression. By the time Venus enters Virgo on September 5th, you’ll likely see the budding fruit of your labor.
You’re quite the wordsmith, Gemini, but this season you’ll be getting comfortable with one that rarely crosses your mind: homebody! While other people are in “back to school” mode now, you will notice your eyes are focused on all the small details of your inner world (whether you’re enrolled as a student or not). Come September 9th, when Mercury officially stations retrograde, you might see a few feathers ruffled in your love life. Feather your nest at home instead and take a break from all the socializing for a while.
What would your friends do without your organization and vigilant care, Cancer? This season has you once again focused on group dynamics, and learning so much about your local surroundings. This Virgo season will be shadowed by Mercury Retrograde, though, so know that more than a few wires could get crossed in your communications. September 10th brings the Full Moon in Pisces, and you might be expanding your horizons once more. You’re growing thanks to the philosophies of those that have come before you, but don’t forget to fill your cup with personal wisdom as well.
Every lion loves nice things, but this season is about making practical financial decisions. Womp, womp! It doesn’t have to be a downer though, Leo. You’re ready to take charge of your values domain and that includes, but is not limited to, money. Decide what fixtures in your life hold space for you and make you feel like your best self, then make a to-do list! When Venus enters Virgo on September 5th, you’re likely to have an abundance of resources at your disposal. Reference your list and don’t be afraid to spend when it directly increases your self worth.
It’s your season, Virgo, and you might decide it’s time for a refresh. Ask yourself what defines you in the most literal sense, and if you’re happy with what you discover. If you need support, look to your committed partnerships, as those closest to us often act as our most unapologetic mirrors. Mercury will station retrograde on September 9th, and it promises to rock your boat. However, Venus will enter your home sign a few days before, and will act as a healing salve for whatever choppy waters could lie ahead. When things feel complicated, remember that you deserve a new hairstyle or pair of shoes just as much as anyone else! Retail therapy shouldn’t replace talk therapy…but sometimes it can’t hurt.
You’re headed into your inner sanctum this season and paying close attention to your dreams. The subconscious has a powerful way of illuminating our deepest desires…and for you, there may be specific words that are brought into your awareness now. Especially once Venus enters Virgo on September 5th, you’ll have added incentive to remove yourself from constant stimulation, and enjoy some quiet time. It’s ok to take a break from socializing and remember who you are alone. This season of stillness will allow you to let go before you’re ready to be reborn.
You’re typically a private person, but this season you’re socializing with the best of them. If you haven’t already this year, now is the time to look around at the groups and affiliations you are a part of and decide if you’re happy with the role you’re playing within them. The Virgo New Moon on August 27th will be a solid opportunity for a fresh perspective, but be mindful that Mercury will station retrograde just a couple weeks later. You’re going to have to retrace the steps of this social terrain, but rebirth is a familiar process for you anyway. The conversations you’re having (and having again and again) will spotlight your biggest dreams.
As adventurous as you are, this season has you getting serious at work. You’re feeling more determined than ever to charge forward and reach for your biggest career goals, but Mercury retrograde might try to throw a wrench in things temporarily. If your public life starts to feel cumbersome come September 9th, take a step back and a few deep breaths. The Full Moon in Pisces the following day will reignite your passion for home and family matters, and bring you into a better work/life balance. Keep focusing on what you’re trying to build, but remember that giving yourself grace won’t slow you down…it will actually help you reach the peak in better shape.
You’re learning something new this season, Capricorn, and perhaps traveling to do so. Because we’re still very much navigating a global pandemic, know that “traveling” can always be done through books and movies, if that feels more accessible now. The true focus is an expansion of your philosophies…likely informed by people and places that live differently than you do. When Venus enters Virgo on September 5th, you’ll lighten up a bit with your exacting eye, and maybe toss around the idea of a fun end of summer trip with friends. Whatever this season plans to help you learn, remember that you actually can teach an old dog new tricks.
Endings happen so that something constructive can be built in their wake, and no one knows that better than you. Especially this season, Aquarius, you’re facing the endings of certain chapters and preparing for how to move forward. The Full Moon in Pisces on September 10th will show how much you’ve grown regarding your values the past six months. Perhaps what’s dying now is just the result of prioritizing what resources really help you feel safe in the long run…and that is very valuable growth. It’s ok to analyze what happened, but don’t forget to feel.
The more you realize that the situations you’re navigating now are some of your most unapologetic mirrors, Pisces, the quicker you will be able to integrate their lessons. If you’re single, circle September 5th on your calendar as a great opportunity to meet a promising new partner in crime. Though, because Mercury will station retrograde in the same area of your chart just a few days later…know that you might be circling back to the true energetics of the connection. The Full Moon in your home sign the next day will remind you to focus on yourself, even as love catches your eye. As ever, if you stay open and go with the flow…you can’t go wrong!

A little more about Virgo Season…
Keywords: Precision, Organization, Health, Reality Check
Virgo, like Gemini, is ruled by Mercury, which makes this sign a phenomenal communicator. Unlike Gemini, though, it’s an Earth sign, meaning it's much more physically motivated to make changes.
Virgo is associated with the sixth house of the birth chart, relating to daily habits and health. Rather than getting carried away by fantasy, it’s a deeply supportive sign that values precision, compartmentalizing, and practicality.
Virgo people make amazing editors, health coaches, and pet owners. They’re able to pay attention to all the small details that are necessary for keeping everything organized and moving logically towards growth.
During Virgo season, it’s time to get practical.
